Allan Donnelly started practicing podiatry again in 2007 after moving to Bungendore in 2000. When Allan first came to the region he built the family home and started work at Odana/Bloomfield resolving legal breaches of copyright, etc. He was the instigator of setting up the Bungendore Community Bank Branch in Bungendore which opened on 1 July 2006, two weeks before the birth of his second child.

Deciding to practice podiatry again, Allan spent the rest of 2006 organising his new practice and started Bungendore Podiatry Services in 2007. Due to Dr Marjorie Cross' encouragement, Allan began one day a week at Bungendore Medical Centre. He then followed this with half a day at Braidwood, quickly turning to a full day. Allan then started at The Surgery at Jerra in Jerrabomberra two days a week. He later moved to the Jerrabomberra Medical Centre where he was based two days a week. He then included an Residential Aged Care Facility in Garran, Southern Cross Care, and so what started out as a three day a fortnight podiatry service developed into full-time.

After ten years of working a mobile podiatry service, Allan decided it was time to consolidate his practice to be able to offer his patients a more comprehensive service, specialising in services for diabetics and diabetic foot disease. On 11 January 2017, Qcity Podiatry and Healthcare opened. Tracy joined us in June and Bunny in September of 2017 with Karly joining us in January 2019. Our dedicated and vastly experienced team have lived and worked in our local community for many years. Our practitioners take the time during your consultation to assure you of the treatment options and management strategies available to you with the best possible outcome.

Karly joined the Qcity Podiatry and Healthcare family in January 2019 after completing her Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine through Charles Sturt University in 2018. Originating from the Albury-Wodonga region, Karly enjoys the familiarity of the country-town lifestyle that Queanbeyan has to offer as well as appreciating the vitality for accessible services in a rural setting.

Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2004, Karly empathises with the difficulties associated with managing diabetes. Having lived with condition for close to two-thirds of her life, Karly strongly advocates the importance of individuals understanding the relationship between diabetes and their feet, for regular foot checks and for regular foot care, all to prevent ulcers and amputations.

Karly enjoys the multi-faceted entity that is podiatry and is dedicated to helping an individual overcome their foot problems in a holistic way. While she embraces all aspects of podiatric health, Karly’s special interests lie in diabetes management and caring for the high-risk foot.

When Karly is not caring for your feet, she can be found camping, sewing, painting, and laughing at terrible puns. She has been involved with Guides and Rover Scouts and participated in many of their group activities.
